I am having a hysterectomy with uterus removal.
Feeling: nervous, scared, hopeful, sad, like I am losing something, grief, little bit of relief but just wanting surgery and pre/post operative procedures to go smoothly.
Thinking: This could be exactly what I need. God knows more than I do what’s right for me. I can trust this.
Doing: Preparing alot. Having a corn allergy which is found in pretty much all medications; there is a real need to prepare for a major surgery like this.
Letting go of: The idea of having my own kids one day. I have been in two minds about it for ages and this feels like it has helped me decide this. There is a finality to the surgery when it comes to whether I would have them or not.
