Anyone can be victimised. There is nothing someone did to attract an abuser; predators seek out people that they can intentionally use, manipulate, overpower, control and/or dominate. People can twist the narrative in whichever way they want but the reality is a victim is a victim; a perpetrator is a perpetrator.
There is always room for healing, learning, growth, forgiveness, faith and new understanding for both a victim and a predator/ perpetrator but it does not change the fact that a victim WAS NOT responsible for being hurt.
Blame is with the perpetrator.
So while society may perpetuate an idea that a victim somehow caused what was done to them or somehow provoked it; for the most part this is not true.
God knows.
He sees/ hears and knows the reality of how someone has been hurt and he has ultimate compassion for victims as well as wrath and righteous anger towards predators and perpetrators.
BUT both a victim and a perpetrator in a situation can come to heal from the situation and move forward in time.
That is the beauty that can come out of such horrible situations
