The different aspects of Healing

Healing encompasses alot of different aspects. When our system has been broken down in any way; we need to find ways to heal. This is a mind, body, soul, spirit, heart process. In order to gain some sense of balance and equilibrium within we need to be aware to some degree of what parts of us are not functioning and need more attention.

For example for me, after trauma; my whole body system was impacted. This meant I needed to address not only the healing of my physical body but attention to my heart, mind, soul and spirit. They are all intricately linked.

So when I changed my diet to account for allergies and chemical sensitivities and food intolerances; my body began to respond better. This then helped my mind to work a little better; which lifted my spirit.

When I read the bible; my spirit too was at times uplifted, this then helped my heart to trust more. When I had enough sleep my physical body was less tense; which aided all parts of me. When I got real about some deep hard pain in my life; my soul felt like it was showing, which helped me connect more to my heart.

There is a balance within our bodies that cries out for this equilibrium. We don’t need to look like perfection to be in a more centered place; it is what is happening within that may need addressing when healing.

The heart for example can be deeply heartbroken and contribute to physical illness. Physical illness may contribute to mental health issues and so on.

So we don’t have to have it all together to feel like we are magnificiently functioning in order to live our lives but we can be aware of the parts of us that are working better than others and the parts that may need more healing.

Healing can be intense work sometimes; other times it is beautiful because we are showing ourselves the self care we need and deserve.
